New Life
Of course, we all think of babies at the mention of new life.
But, I like to think outside of the box.
Isn't the moment we take Jesus into our heart the beginning of a
new life... and I don't think new born Christians are babies... maybe in verse
but not in body.
When we marry or finish college or just move into a home of our
own don't we start a new life. All these things and many more that I've
not mentioned change us... we are no longer the same
A time of un-flawed beginnings. The blossoms on a tree or a
first date. Maybe a chance encounter with a stranger who might become
your very best friend.
Easter
I know many people see Easter as a new beginning but I see it as a
end. When Jesus died, he mended the rift between God and humans.
The sins of Adam and Eve were washed away and the beacon of hope was
handed to us all. We answer only for our own actions... good or bad.
So, to conclude, I think all these words mean one thing... I grow,
expand, learn and become a better me

"Unflawed beginnings." What a wonderful thought. I enjoyed all your new birth photos, especially that one with the baby birdies, mouths open. Unflawed beginnings. And then to soar.
Yes, I love unflawed beginnings as well! And all those photos! SO HAPPY MAKING. xo
"The beacon of hope was handed to us all..." I love your haiku -powerful words linked to an image. And your new birth photos were so fun!
"A time of unflawed beginnings..." I love that. And I also feel such joy at the lovely new-life photos you've posted. You've expressed what I want too... grow, expand, learn, and become a better me.
The images are beautiful and your insights are powerful... I especially appreciate your thoughts about Easter as an ending rather than a beginning... In the Seven Words of jesus by Jesuit Father James Martin, Jesus does say, "It is finished." As fully human and fully divine he willingly became the ultimate sacrifice... thanks for that reminder.
My thoughts were arrested by your words: "many people see Easter as a new beginning but I see it as a end. When Jesus died, he mended the rift between God and humans." That is so important! That was the message of the angels the night of Jesus' birth: "On earth peace, good will toward men." They spoke of peace between God and mankind made possible because of Jesus. Powerful haiku -- I celebrate with you!
