Help... I feel like I'm in one of those drug ads....

You know the one that says, "This is your brain... and this is your brain on drugs!"  It's an egg and they fried on a sidewalk.... well guess what... you could cook an entire meal on my sidewalk right now!!!  107 degrees right now!!!  My poor plants :(
I did water them this morning but they look pretty bad.  I'll water again as soon as that torch in the sky goes away.

And yes my dogs are getting not only water but a water bowl of ice water twice a day.  It's so funny to watch them jumping for the water bowl instead of the food bowl.

Today is my 43rd wedding anniversary... The boy that turned my blood to boiling passion when I was a teen is now my best friend.  The passion is still there ... we just know we have forever and have learned to pace ourselves.

Happy Father's Day

My daddy will be 83 years old next month.  He's a little rough around the edges but he has a marshmellow heart that melts around his grandbabies.

What am I???

This isn't a riddle... why do I feel the best when I'm constantly moving?  I took a short nap yesterday... felt fine when I reclined on the couch to watch a movie... thirty minutes later I felt like a truck had hit me.  So I looked up things that constantly move, help me decided which one I am.

The Ocean Tide... well I can be a little salty and if you get in my way I'll pull you out with me




Time... I can age you if you stay around me much... sometimes my weird sense of humor can make the minutes past slowly










The Sun... Am I all powerful, hot tempered and everything revolves around me... yea sometimes

Air... I really don't like to hang around people just to move their hair, clothes, etc... if I move I want to show results






Maybe I'm a THINGAMABOB that goes her own way.  I think my name should be under Thingamabob in the dictionary.

Sign of the Summer days to come

Here I sit at 11:00am, still in pj and wrapped up in a blanket.... why do husbands keep the house so cold???... waiting for two girls to get up so we can go to the barn.

No work today ... well, I did do the chicken feeding and garden stuff... but no real work today.

Sure wish they would get up... I mean I've dropped two books... by accident of course :)

Wait... do I hear movement.... yep there are feet hitting the floor.  Here we come barn.

My Granny and Granddaddy and more

I talk about my Granny and share her wisdom so I thought I would share these pictures my cousin posted on facebook last night.  I'm also putting on a a family Christmas picture of my family before my baby brother came along.  I want to say it's early sixties. Granddaddy always had that pipe and Granny always wore a dress.  I don't know what's up with that hat.
