I'm Springing with Spring

I've got little pepper plants coming up... I've got the baby chick box ready for the first group... I've got gardening plans going... I've not got my spring cleaning done...nope ain't happening on such a gorgeous day.

Don't mess with Cats... Ever

I think I might have been a cat in another life.... Why... well I sort of have their attitude.  I've groomed for many years... many, many, many years... and when people call and ask "Do you do cats?"  I always say NO

But my dear fellow worker has not learned this answer... she says yes... even when they say... I'll bring it to you as soon as the vet give it a tranquilizer... Really... sure bring it on I love to have my arm scratched and my fingers bleeding.  Love you girlfriend but learn to say NO


They are cute when they are kittens... Congrats to my friend's son on his new baby but don't ask me to groom it... even for you the answer will be NO

I've Discovered a new treat

The other day I was craving something sweet.  If you're a close friend of mine, you know I don't eat much candy.  Here is what I pulled out, a banana and a jar of Nutella... I thought about making a banana sandwich and use the Nutella instead of peanut butter but then.... an idea hit... sliced the banana and put Nutella down the center... then I put pecan pieces over the Nutella and topped it with whip cream.  Yummmmmy

De-Wintering my House

Have you ever wondered why we love stuff... like quilts, blankets, piles of books, etc ... around us in the winter??  I really like to have all my quilts out in the winter.  It's like I expect a super blizzard or something.  I still have blankets out... I'm a snuggle bug (now I know some of you are laughing but I am) so I always need a blanket close but Good Gosh!!! I put up eleven quilts that were piled near or around my bed... now I still have sixteen-ish quiltsthat belonged to MawMaw Norred, Frieda (Ronnie's mother) or ones I found for a good price at yard sales (can't keep up with the count because I keep putting and removing them) on top of my armoire  and five quilts that belonged to my granny or my aunts on top of my Secretary Desk.  

Oh my, I'm a hoarder of quilts.... yeah for me.

I love windy days

Happy Happy Happy

laundry is drying on the line, working in flower beds getting ready ... it's all about getting ready... making plans for the garden... fixing a safe place for those baby chicks that will be here in two weeks.... holding my face up to the sun and smiling... husband is tinkering in his shop and the dog is right beside me... life is good.

Is it over???

We have pulled out the shorts and flip flops two or three times and old man winter has smacked us down every time.... do we dare wear flip flops tomorrow???... can we leave the coat at home????  I'm yearning  for green ... and deep blue ... and the hint of honeysuckle on the wind ... and the gentle flight of butterflies...  instead of dead brown.... grey.... the wind being so sharp that you can't smell anything and the thrashing of branches as one cold front after another marches across our nation.... I will not complain about the heat this summer...
